What is your memorable East-Meet-West moment? A few years ago, I was very blessed and fortunate to have had the opportunity to represent Canada in Macau's International Youth Dance Festival. There were dancers from over 30 different countries who participated in this international-scale performance. We took approximately one week to rehearse and get to know one another. I was delighted to see various cultures from both the East and the West. Something worth noting is that everyone spoke a different language, and that amazes me. Even though we may speak different languages, it didn't prevent us from understanding each other because we used dance movements to communicate; I think that's magical. It was a fantastic experience; I still keep in touch with the friends I've made during my time in Macau. It indeed was an eye-opening experience.
